Spirit Vessels made from Hawaiian Woods

Spirit vessels are special enclosed bowls and vessels that are intended to be used in various spiritual practices.

Generally, they have capacities smaller than funerary urns, though they would be also be appropriate for the remains of children or pets.

They are made with the intent of becoming a vessel to hold the spirit of the individual items placed in them. During the creation of these vessels, the wood is carefully studied to enable cration of a shape that displays the spirit of the wood. In essence, the wood decides what shape it will become. They range in size from that of a medium sized enclosed bowl to miniatures. Like most of the other urns on our site, they are also created with a sense of respect and reverence so they may also be be appropriate for smaller volumes of remains than conventional funerary urns.

Whenever possible, each object will be shown with all four sides (90 degree clockwise rotation from the leftmost picture towards the right), and from slightly above.
